Thats when I realized, there is no doubt.....We are spa whores!!
Here is the list - not in any particular order (cant believe how much money has gone to spas from our kitty.....we need to start a savings account just for spa visits at this rate)
Ten Thousand Waves Japanese Spa in New Mexico
Mandara Spa in Maldives
White Sulphur Springs Spa in Napa Valley
Nusa Dua Spa in Bali
An then there all the amazing ones whose names I cant remember like the two different spas we went to in Cambodia, the one in Goa, the reflexology in Singapore, the spa in the hotel we stayed in in Bangkok, the foot massage on the beach from a friendly south Indian in Baga beach in Goa, and the funky Japanese spa in San Francisco (which is known for its baths as much as for their massages). Anyway, not all spa experiences have been fun.
Once Hari and I went to an airport spa at Hong Kong airport where a couple of friendly Hong Kong Chinese beat us up black and blue in the pretext of a massage all for only $25......Our parents still make fun of us about this :-(
And then there was this Ayurvedic spa that I went to in Mumbai with Hari's mom. It was meant for us to just hang out and chill. I had never tried Ayurveda before so there was added excitment about that as well! Turns out....Ayurveda is the most hyped and over-rated healing/ massage technique ever!!!!!! They poured buckets of oil on me from an overhanging pot. yes, it was supposed to awaken my third eye but I was more worried that I would slide and fall off the table with all the oil that I never could relax and let my third eye do its thing. To top it off......You get to enjoy being totally oily moily for 3 days after!!! Grrrrrr.... As you can see Ayurveda and I still have issues to sort out.
But coming pack to the point, Hari and I are officially spa whores now...
