I got reminded of the time at INSEAD. I was intently focussed on getting a job in the luxury industry post INSEAD. I spoke the L'Oreals, the Chanels, the LVMHs of the world and also the art companies, wine companies and more. I approached luxury from every angle possible :-).
Somehow, the realization that I came to was that I was more interested in the aesthetics and beauty portion of the industry than the 'luxury'. In any case, the job I chose to take eventually had nothing to do with luxury (so, technically, I could have been partying in Bali over the weekends while at INSEAD in Singapore, instead of working on my job-hunt, but oh well :-)).
The movie, though, brought it all back. I always wondered if I would fit into the luxury industry and I dont know how I would have coped if I were surrounded by the Emilys and the Mirandas of the world
Maybe I will find out in another life...;-)
