But on our way to Bali, we had an 8 hour lay over in Singapore. We got transit visas and headed out into the city. It felt nice to be back in Singapore where we stayed for 4 months last year. We took the train (which we never did when we were in Singapore for whatever reason but now we had time to kill...). We went past the Tana Mera ferry terminal from where we took a ferry to Bin Tan in Indonesia for a weekend break, east coast park where we hung out with friends Ujjal and Neeta, Orchard Road and Bugis street market.

We met up with good ol' friend Sandeep Balaji who was in Singapore. He quickly roped in Kesavan and Vikas to join us for lunch all of whom were werkign within a one mile radius. Kesavan happened to have the number of dear yet elusive friend Kevin Lam.
He didnt recognise my voice at first but then when I threatened to kick his butt and he quickly said : "Maya!! You cant just show up in Singapore!! ''
We hung out with all over lunch and coffee. Kevin proudly showed off his empire of Loewe stores to us and then we sat and chatted for a couple of hours. It was an amazing feeling of home and comfort being with friends. INSEAD was an amazing place for that if nothing else - I made lifelong friends!
